The Process
Every home theater is different. Needs and wants vary, so let us create the theater you can really enjoy.
Consult
Contact us and schedule a consult with our project manager. They come out to visit the space to make sure they’re choosing products made for your lighting, room size, and more.
Design Work
Not every theater is the same. Our project manager will take the information from the consult and build a theater around its specifications and your budget. Note: We do not typically install customer-provided equipment.
Approval
You’ll receive a quote once the design work is done. If you have any questions, or want to add or remove anything, this is the time. Once you find everything to you’re liking, you can approve it and we can begin ordering equipment.
Installation
If this is done as a new build or renovation, we’ll install in phases. If everything is retrofitted, we will do everything at the same time. Typically most theaters take several days up to a few weeks, depending on the size.
Designing a Home Theater
Whether you’re looking for just a screen and projector, or the full theater experience, we design theaters specific to your wants, your budget, and your home’s capabilities.
Projectors
There are hundreds of different projectors available. However, because every room is different, not any projector will do. We’ll work with you to make sure the projector fits the room’s needs and your budget.
Screens
Spend your money here. You can get away with a cheaper projector. A bad screen is obvious. Screens can improve (or diminish) picture and audio quality. There are hundreds of options to choose from when it comes to screens. Let us help you find the right one.
Audio
Sound Treatment
Seating
Theater seating doesn’t have to be your typical couch and chairs. We at The Theater People have access to all different kinds of furniture made specifically for theaters. We also have the option to design custom seating. Choose your preferred fabrics or materials, as well as your amenities such as recline, lighting, and massage options.
Lighting
The options are limitless with lighting. Whether you’re looking for shades of white, a range of colors, or both, we can design a lighting set up with nearly all of your needs and wants.
